The wonderful story of Mike Turner and how is now able to travel the world with Parkinson’s Disease
I first came to Neurolink as I was diagnosed in mid 2012 with Parkinson’s Disease and my family helped me put together a team to help me fight back. Neurolink specialises in assisting people with some form of physical disability recover or limit the effect of their disability with one on one help. I have worked with Portia Woodman for around 4 years to improve my mobility and work on areas of my body that are or might be affected by the consequences of Parkinson’s.
Portia has an amazing ability to home in on parts of the body that need work on a regular basis and is a first class neuro physio. Over the years I have had various types of massage therapy but Portia is definitely one of the best. In reality she works on the physical level initially but also works on one’s mental strength so that the patient feels very positive about what is being achieved. One of the most noticeable aspects of Neurolink’s culture is the light atmosphere, the friendly feelings that exist between practitioners and clients that is very positive.
I can honestly say that becoming a client was one of the best decisions that I have made. I feel very positive about being a client at the physical level and mental level. It is a pleasure to work with such nice people.
I have also introduced my wife to Neurolink and Portia looks after her as well with very positive results. It is a joy to be treated and I look forward to a long continuing relationship. My wife totally agrees.
